Data processed
The hosting and network providers may process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps for delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention. GameVerity does not currently maintain a separate visitor profile database.
Analytics and advertising
GameVerity records a small set of first-party usage events so we can see which page groups are used, which broad source sent the visit, and whether search tools return useful results. No third-party analytics or advertising scripts are currently installed. This notice will be updated before either is introduced.
Official game artwork
Homepage game artwork is delivered from Valve’s Steam static asset CDN and is linked to the corresponding official store listing. Loading those images may send standard request data, including IP address and browser details, to that CDN. Image requests are made without a referrer header.
Local interaction data
Events record the page path without query strings, broad referral source, viewport class (mobile, tablet or desktop), selected filters, sanitized search terms, result opens and successful copy actions. A random tab-scoped session ID expires after 30 minutes of inactivity and connects steps in a tool journey. It is not linked to an account, fingerprint, IP address or another browser. Full referrer URLs are not stored. Each event also has a random ID to prevent duplicate writes. No analytics cookies are used. The session stays in sessionStorage; the optional opt-out preference stays in localStorage.
Inputs resembling email addresses, links or phone numbers are discarded. V2 events expire after 90 days and older V1 daily aggregates after 400 days; expired records are pruned on subsequent event ingestion. Local development, marked QA tabs, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are excluded. Analytics is optional and does not affect the tools.
Correction reports
A correction report stores the GameVerity page, game version, field in dispute, proposed correction, and any evidence link you provide. A reply email is optional and is used only to follow up on that report, not for marketing. Reports are not published and are retained only as needed to investigate the claim and document material changes.
